All ALONE

Water lotus all around

The clear pond in a lost jungle,

The hoot of the owl heard far

Staring at an abandoned boat which floats near us

And along the silence , I wait impatiently

That she break her stoicness

And fall, gently, on to my shoulder

Then we may jump onto the old boat

With all our feelings that has bottled up

So as to drop the oars and row away into the vastness

Row away into the silent vastness for perpetuity

With only the moon light giving us company

Chilly winds forcing us to embrace for warmth and love

And with sounds of only the burbling water

But she does not jump,

I endure

Lonely as the jungle itself

I row away into the emptiness

All alone .
